Paisano Restaurant in San Angelo

Oh my goodness this steak is to die for but we're getting to that well it's kind of a small place but clean friendly waitresses polite like most Mexican restaurants you get chips and salsa bean dip to they brought out was OnPoint in delicious steak we ordered steak three steaks one medium rare to medium-rare one well done and I mean all of them were delicious you don't need no steak sauce you can eat a steak with no steak sauce you're doing pretty good and I mean it's a big plate of it comes with salad just good and then you know baked potato or french fries or whatever side you want I should have grabbed a to-go plate ended up eating that steak not only for dinner that night but for late-night snack later on and then also for breakfast in the morning by far the best steak I've had in awhile definitely will be back

Of the very few Excellent true mexican style flavors. Across many states. This place has a very Very good good recipe for their food. The enchiladas, the guiso, the salsas, bean dip, its all perfect!

They were out of three things I tried to order, and didn't have any menus. The rice and beans weren't bad but the enchilada sauce was very salty. I was not impressed. No napkins, we were just handed forks. The place just seemed disorganized.

I had a really good lunch there while I was in town. Free appetizer. Steak Monterrey was delicious.

The food was very goodKinda greasy probably very high calorie. The place was very crowded and tight. It was not 6ft at all. Service was fair I think. We got the steak tips and rice and beans. Which was all great.The bean dip for chip was very good but very greasy. The salsa was very spicy.

Amazing service, and even better food. Visited from out of town. Ordered the Monterey Steak. A-freaking-mazing tender and tasty ribeye! Everything I ate had a really good flavor. Ask for the green sauce with your chips if you're feeling hold enough to, hot and tasty! Great place, great staff, will definitely return!!

The food was great but they didn't serve beer. Also their credit card machine broke and I had to wait over 30 minutes to check out and ended up going to the atm for cash.

Breakfast was really. Clean and very friendly wait staff. Recommend huevos Ranchero and migas. If you ate going for lunch or dinner try the steak bits.

Outstanding food service is a bit slow the place is always packed. The meal starts with chips and salsa and bean dip all were amazing. The el pasiano plate is the bomb thick slices of steak with fajita type fixings. The meat is amazing and perfectly cooked. One of the best steak places around. Well worth the out of the way location and difficult parking.

That was the best stake I have ever had the pleasure of eating.

Everything about this restaurant was wonderful! Incredible service, delicious food. We loved the beans and meat delivered with chips and salsa, enchiladas, soft tacos, and taco salad! (Which is in fact every item we ate :-)...)

Nice people but food was the most disgusting Mexican food I’ve ever had. I honestly don’t understand how it has this high of a rating. Hours later, my friend and I are both having intestinal problems. Never going here again. Do not recommend.

The lunch special was steak bits the day we went. They came out fast and hot. Cooked the way I requested my steak and was really tender. I would eat here again.

Quick, good service, food was great and affordable.

Only 5 items on the lunch menu. I had the steak bites. Just have three words, FAB U LOUS . I was secretly told it's marinated in a buttery mixture overnight ( I'm sure that removed all the unnecessary calories) then seasoned and grilled. A must have when you visit.

Passing through San Angelo from a trip in Lubbock. This is the 3rd time we've stop to eat there and we are always pleased with the service and food. I recommend the steak or the beef tips. You will not be disappointed. 👌

Went to eat with some of the parishioners from St. Margaret of Scotland. Very good food. The housefull crowd shows how well this restaurant liked in this part of the town. Will surely eat here next time in town. Good and polite waitstaff.

This place is truly a local gem. Everything on the menu is good. Great for lunch or dinner. Seat yourself when you go in. They can accommodate larger groups with some notice. This place isnt licensed but you can BYOB as long as you take your empties. We eat here at least once a week.

Reasonable prices! Best Steak Bits, Hamburger are the bomb! Tacos Mexicanos are my favorite, food is delicious and hot!

My husband and I ate lunch here for the first time today. The server was excellent! We were greeted with chips, salsa & a fabulous bean dip, perfect combination. We both appreciated the lack of cilantro in the food we ordered. We come through San Angelo about 4X a year, and will put this on our to do list from now on.Thank you for the great experience!

We took a break from all of the government fed lies about this "pandemic", to go to San Angelo for a get away and to discuss what we were going to do when the crisis was over on Nov. 4. Anyway, this led us to Paisano's, and wow! The chips to start us off were great, the salsa was nice and thick, with a smoky warmth that hit the spot. They have a appetizer as well that comes with the chips that is a combo of refried beans and the salsa(?), and it is smashingly delicious. I ordered the Mexicano, and my friend ordered the combo fajitas. The steak was cooked perfectly for both of us, and was really, really good! She got the tea and they kept it filled, however, she may have gotten a bad batch on the last refill because she said that it tasted like bad coffee. Other than this, it was superb! The wait staff was friendly and attentive as well. If ever in San Angelo again, I will definitely make it a point to come back, and you should make a plan to get here as well!

We ordered Mother's Day brunch delivery and it was amazing! The crab and asparagus quiche was to die for, loaded with crab meat! So much food! The fresh squeezed OJ with the mimosa kit was perfect! I highly recommend and can not wait until we can eat here in person!

This place is awesome. The staff was super friendly from the hostess, waitress, to the server. The food was really, really good. Great taste and well priced. The bean dip giving to you with chips and salsa was amazing and so is the salsa. Thinking about driving back to San Angelo just tobest there again. You have to try it, I promise you want be disappointed.

I didn't get greeted when I walked in, but then I asked do I seat myself the man said yes wherever u would like: I chose a booth. as I was fixing to sit my pants caught on to the edge of the table and ripped the man was standing behind me and didn't a knowledge until I told wow that's dangerous to have that like that. The table has a metal corner that is sharp. He says oh I'm sorry. What can I get you to drink. Lol smh. Besides that and the waitress taking her time by chit chatting the food was 100% good!

My husband had a chicken fried steak and he good cut it with a fork. The salsa they bring to your table is excellent. My steak was delicious. This is a must stop in San Angelo TX.

Steak Bits are so delicious and tender. I don't think I've ever eaten their Mexican dishes because I got these my first visit and its what keeps me coming back! The stuff they put on their beans is good too. I typically don't like refried beans, but whatever sauce they put on top makes them delicious! We had friends visit from Dallas. On their way back home they stopped and got and order of steak bits to take home with them!

Kokkari is always on my list of places to eat while in San Francisco, as its location in the Financial District is very convenient to my hotel while I'm there on business. While most of my work trips here are busy & stressful, I know I can always look forward to an excellent dinner at Kokkari, and I find myself counting down the days to when I can have another taste of my favorite Greek dishes here.

Food was cold,this was our second bad experience here. The manager,came and made a huge scene about sorry it's the best I can do,Icant please everyone. The only thing that was asked for was hot food served in a timely manor,not food brought out fifteen minutes apart,and already cold. That not too much to ask.If you want to please people,at least make an attempt.

No frills, but one of the most requested places to eat by family and friends. Excellent food, fast service, good prices and clean dining.

Awesome experience! So many great reviews on Google that I had to try it! It didn’t disappoint! They start you off with delicious chips, salsa, and bean dip stuff that is SO GOOD. I ordered the mixed fajita a la mexicana and it was tasty and well seasoned. The tortillas were soft and well made. The service was incredible. She kept checking on us and we wanted for nothing. Decor- nothing on the walls except two TVs. That doesn’t bother me though. I’m there for the food. If you’re in San Angelo, give this place a try! I bet you’ll like it and want to come back. I know I do!

BAD SERVICE. To be honest this place has really great tasting food, but only when it comes out hot. It's unfortunate if they are understaffed but if that's the case then don't seat so many tables. I'd much rather wait an extra 15 minutes to be seated than sit down and get horrible service. Also, if the manager of this restaurant reads this, please don't serve children's menu meals on a scalding hot plate.

First time here and the KC scrap steaks were amazing. Friendly awesome waitstaff too.

Really fantastic food. Their Carne Asada is the best I've tasted. It's so flavorful and tender... yum. They also serve a really nice bean salsa mix. Their tortillas are freshly made and nice and fluffy.The staff are all very friendly and helpful. They can unfortunately get a little busy and forget you if you come alone, but just wave someone down and they'll help you out. They have the old style check out at a register on your way out system, so be sure you're not in a huge hurry to leave.

El Paisano has been my "go-to" restaurant for years now.I live in Dallas, by several steak houses, and crave Paisano's steaks.The portions are big, and the service is always good.I've even had friends bring their food 4 hours to me, and it still an amazing meal.Seriously, if you live in or near San Angelo, and have not had this restaurant, you are doing yourself a major disservice.

I love Paisano's I have tried many menu items and it was all good. Ate breakfast this morning yum!
